The realisation of ESP-T project contributed to the EU policies in the following areas:

  1. Cultural and linguistic diversity. All developed course materials served the purpose of increasing the language competence of the target users. The organised training for the material developers provided the opportunity to discuss and include the intercultural aspects of learning English in the field of therapy into the course materials.

  2. Open Learning Environment. The website has been created to encourage the involvement of the all institutions and individuals interested in developing and/or using the project results. Materials for two of the course modules provide open language learning resources for learners and teachers.

  3. ICT. Innovative ICT tools are used in the process of creating the course materials which are placed on the e-learning platform facilitating the wider access to the project results in the form of the distance learning.

  4. Making learning more attractive. Attractiveness of the developed course materials is enhanced by:

  • the use of authentic materials such as scenarios, case studies and interviews with the real patients and therapists,

  • the extensive use of photos, audio and video materials

  • offering a wide variety of pedagogical tasks corresponding to the job-related language needs of therapists

  1. Mobility. 1 training and 4 partner meetings have been organised. Individual partners participated also in different conferences and events to further discuss the project ideas.

  2. Accessibility. The materials of one of the course modules are designed specifically to address the needs of visually impaired massage therapists.

  3. Dissemination and exploitation of the results. The project website was created for promotional and communicational purposes. The project calendars, brochures and posters were produced and distributed. Partners participated in the conferences where they promoted the project by giving presentations and by participating in the workshops and panel discussions related to the scope of the project.
